Houston, TX (June 8, 2010)... – Frank McGuyer, Chief Executive Officer and Mike Love, Chief Operations Officer of McGuyer Homebuilders, Inc. (MHI) announced the promotions of two executives and the appointment of a new general counsel. Gary Tesch has been promoted to President of the privately-held homebuilding company, David Bruning has been named its new Chief Financial Officer and William "Mac" McKinnie has been added to the MHI team as General Counsel.
Tesch has served as MHI’s Chief Financial Officer since he joined the company in 2001. He was instrumental in the formation of the recent joint partnership with Wheelock Street Capital which is designed to purchase and develop residential land for lot sales and home building. In addition to overseeing all aspects of the business, he will also guide the key initiatives associated with MHI’s strategic goals. Tesch has over 23 years of financial and management experience in both public accounting and the real estate industry, with the majority of his public accounting experience with the Big-4 Accounting Firm of Deloitte & Touche where he was in the Audit, Consulting, and Capital Markets Departments. He has also held the position of Chief Financial Officer at a large Houston-based Commercial Real Estate Firm. Tesch attended the University of Texas at Austin and received a B.B.A. in both Accounting and MIS. Prior to his promotion, Bruning was Controller of MHI and began his career with the company in 2002 as a Financial Analyst. A Certified Public Accountant, Bruning has over 24 years of experience in various accounting roles in public accounting and with companies in the manufacturing and construction industries. Bruning received a B.B.A. in Accounting from Texas A&M University.
McKinnie has been practicing law for over 10 years with several Houston-based law firms and is a graduate of South Texas College of Law and Southern Methodist University where he received a B.B.A. in Business and B.A. in History. McKinnie brings a wealth of experience in real estate and construction law to MHI.
