McGuyer Homebuilders, Inc. (MHI) is on pace
to close 800 homes in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex (DFW) this year. The builder has experienced a tremendous spike in production
in the market over the past two years. As of August 2003, MHI reported a 60% increase in DFW starts compared to the same time period last year.
MHI’s underlying philosophy to exceed customer expectations coupled with a renewed commitment from the Operations team and the efforts of the Land Acquisition department led
to this record-breaking growth, according to
Denny Garrett, Regional President/MHI. A strong working relationship with DFW developers has
also contributed to the company’s recent success in the market.
MHI offers homes from three of its signature brands: Pioneer Homes, Plantation Homes, and Coventry Homes in over thirty communities
around the Metroplex.
The versatility of the three brands, each
geared to a different segment of the
market, has given MHI an added edge in
the marketplace.
“We found more of a demand for homes
priced from the $110s with the shift in
the economy. Our portfolio of designs and management philosophy allowed us to
bring the Pioneer Homes brand to the
market with no major retooling and down
time,” according to Garrett.
MHI introduced its designs to the DFW
market in 1991 with 142 closings in its
inaugural year. Today, MHI is ranked
among the top thirty builders in the
nation and continues to bring innovation
to the homebuilding industry.
