McGuyer Homebuilders, Inc. (MHI) recently announced the promotion of Ed Vaughn to Division President of Coventry Homes in the Houston market. James Miller, Houston Region President, made this announcement earlier in the year. This newly created position will oversee operations for Coventry Homes in the southern territory of the Houston area.

MHI's Houston market has recently experienced tremendous growth, prompting the creation of this new position. The Coventry brand itself has expanded and the company just introduced the Carmel Builders brand, creating the need for a new Division President.

Vaughn will oversee all aspects of operations for Coventry Homes within his division, including product development and land acquisition, plus sales and construction management.

“Ed is the perfect choice for Division President with over 14 years of experience in homebuilding at MHI. He truly understands all facets of the company,” according to Miller.

Vaughn began his career with MHI in 1993 as a graduate of TCU with a B.S. degree in Marketing. Vaughn joined the MHI team as a Construction Manager and worked in various communities until 1997 when he was promoted to Project Manager.

During his tenure as Project Manager, Vaughn's project consistently closed over 200 homes per year and ranked as a top producer in both revenue and production. His greatest accomplishment as a Project Manager has been the mentoring of six Construction Managers from his project for promotion to MHI Project Managers in the Houston market.

Coventry Homes are featured in many master-planned communities throughout Houston with homes priced from the $300s to the $700s. Vaughn's division includes Lakes of Highland Glen, Magnolia Creek, Tuscan Lakes, South Shore Harbour, Shadow Creek Ranch, and Sienna Plantation.
